A Private tour of the flagship Rococo Chocolates kitchen
Six people will have a private tour of the exclusive chocolatier's kitchen in Belgravia given by award winning Prof du Choc Laurent Couchaux. The 30 minute tour and talk on chocolate creation will be given during traditional business hours. Each person will leave with a special sweet goody bag.
Rococo Chocolates was founded by Chantal Coady in 1983. Armed with a little knowledge, a dangerous passion for chocolate and a belief that there was room for a radically different approach to chocolate, she decided to open a shop in the King's Road (Chelsea, London). 27 years later, the author of three books about chocolate, Coady still pushes forward to boundaries of chocolate retailing with 3 shops in London - the flagship store is at Motcomb St, in the heart of Belgravia. Most recently, Rococo Chocolates won a special prize for "Changing the way people think about chocolate" from the Academy of Chocolate Awards in 2008. Coady is particularly proud of being active in the business of ethical cocoa growing, she and her husband James are members of an Organic cocoa cooperative on the island of Grenada. Rococo and the Grenada Chocolate Company have a joint venture farm called GRococo...
This tour must be taken by mid December 2010. The tour will be at a mutually convenient time that fits around Rococo's chocolate production schedule. Alternatively, this prize may be swapped for an in-depth chocolate tasting for up to 6 people.
